My dear friend,

Compete and win!

Be the first in the race!

Grow, else others will crush you!

But on the other side, there is this –

The ascent of Everest was not the work of one day, nor even of those few unforgettable weeks in which we climbed…It is, in fact, a tale of sustained and tenacious endeavor by many, over a long period of time. – Sir John Hunt ( Scaled mount Everest in 1953)

Since childhood, we are taught to compete, to fight and win – whether it’s academics or sports or corporate – we want to come first. The competing and coming first attitude is not wrong but just having this attitude can be problematic sometimes. We are human beings and In my opinion, we are designed to work together. We are designed to collaborate, work together and have massive success.

If you look around – whether it’s a single athlete winning an olympic gold medal or someone making it big in business, it’s never done by one single person. Definitely YES that there is one person leading, who is far more passionate than others but it’s always a game of a team. There are many more unknown hidden people behind the success of every successful person. An athlete has a big support system in terms of coach, dietician, family and friends and a lot more.

The moment I learnt this lesson of working together and winning together – my life changed. I always focus more on collaborative success with a win-win attitude. Instead of what’s in it for me, how about – what’s in it for us? What big things can we create together? How much more can we grow together? If we start seeing from this perspective then there is no limit to success.

Every high achiever on the planet ever, has a powerful team members who support him and create new opportunities of success. So here is the task for you this week – find out minimum 2 people with whom you can collaborate to be successful OR plan to have a team in place for you who will help you grow. It can even start with one person. And yes, make an action plan to work together. Nothing works without taking action.

If you ever want to discuss this more, I am always available for you.
My best wishes for you to create a wonderful team of people around you who understand the win-win concept to achieve the biggest in this life.

Your friend for life,
Jogi

Some great memories at Dehradun!

Absolutely agreed. Its aalsya a team game aand much more fun. I would rather draw analogy to a team sport such as football where the victory also is credited to the team rather than any individual. Also a team sport is a victory even if you loose the match, of you play well and enjoy the game and the company of your teammates

Very true. Such insights are not included in our educational system. We have to get from outside. Team is always helping the success factor. We know many things but we never mind it. Somebody should be there to highlight it. It’s great from your side to do through letters.
Thanks
