Hey there!

While growing up, I heard this saying more than often from Papa ( In Haryanavi) –  होए मैं सबका साझा हो सै ! It means that if you have anything in abundance then it belongs not only to you but to everyone else as well. Simply saying – share and give.

Giving is at the core of our nature as humans. We all feel good when we give something to someone needy or simply sharing anything with fellow beings gives us joy. Biologically Oxytocin is the hormone responsible for this. Any act of kindness done by us, done on us by another being or even by reading or seeing any such act gives us a shot of oxytocin.

I always say that we start living when we start giving. Giving brings more abundance to us. I have seen and experienced it in my life in practical terms. I have been running my social initiative Sanskriti for more than 15 years now, and the universe always conspires to continue it. Though there were/are ups and downs but I feel that it’s the part of the process.

Another very important thing , giving must come without any feeling of pride or ego. It’s been said that when you give from one hand, even the other hand shouldn’t know about it. We are not even a small electron in the whole big cosmos, isn’t it? We are just a medium, nothing more than that.

I have a task for you in the coming week – do an act of kindness and get a shot of oxytocin. Once you do it, pass on the act to another human please. Let’s create a movement of kindness in the world.

Let’s be kind and make the world a better place for all.
