My dear friend,

Enthusiasm is one of the most powerful engines of success. When you do a thing, do it with all your might. Put your whole soul into it. Stamp it with your own personality. Be active, be energetic, be enthusiastic and faithful, and you will accomplish your objective. Nothing great was ever achieved without enthusiasm. – Ralph Waldo Emerson

Have you ever noticed a young child? Did you ever recognise or get fed up with their energy to get something new every now and then? They crave for something very badly, finally get it and then within minutes they want something new. Isn’t it? Recently I noticed this and realized – how excited and energetic young children are to explore   something new.  They always yearn for something new!

And how about we grown up kids 🙂 ? Many times, after a particular stage in life – we just live day by day the same routine without exploring, learning and growing. What a monotonous life! I strongly believe that we humans are designed to explore new things until our last breath. Every day is new and every breath is a new opportunity to live and relish life. Isn’t it? So a question for you my friend – how are you living life as of today?

Life is indeed a remarkable journey filled with countless opportunities for growth and learning. As we grow older, it’s easy to fall into the trap of routine and complacency, forgetting the innate curiosity and enthusiasm that once fueled our every endeavor. However, it is crucial to remember that life’s true essence lies in exploration and constant discovery.

Here are some key life learnings to consider:

– Embrace curiosity: Maintain the inquisitiveness of a child, always seeking to learn and explore new things.

– Expand your horizons: Step outside of your comfort zone and venture into unfamiliar territories to discover new perspectives and insights.

– Foster personal growth: Continuously seek self-improvement, acquiring new skills and knowledge to evolve as an individual.

– Embrace diversity: Embrace the richness of different cultures, perspectives, and experiences, recognizing the value they bring to your own growth and understanding.

– Forge meaningful connections: Build relationships with diverse individuals, appreciating the power of human connection in enriching your life.

– Seize opportunities: Approach each day with a mindset of seizing opportunities, making the most of every moment and every breath.

– Cherish the journey: Remember that life is a continuous adventure, and true fulfillment comes from relishing the process rather than fixating solely on the end goal.

Now, an activity for you for this week, I encourage you to take a moment and reflect on the following questions:

  • What is one new thing or activity you have been curious about but haven’t pursued yet? How can you incorporate it into your life?
  • Think about a subject or area of knowledge that you’ve always been intrigued by. How can you start exploring and expanding your understanding in that field?
  • Consider a long-lost passion or interest that you’ve neglected. How can you reignite that flame and allow it to bring joy and fulfillment back into your life?
  • Take a moment to connect with someone from a different background or perspective. Engage in a meaningful conversation and listen attentively to their experiences and insights.

I want you to answer the above questions and to take action on at least one of these because only action brings results.

I wish you a life wherein you move ahead with enthusiasm and embark on a journey of continuous growth and exploration.

Your friend for life,

Jogi

Well said, the child in us is what keeps us alive. If that child is lost on the way the much is lost from an individual’s life. It keeps the enthusiasm, curiosity, connection with the mundane things of everyday life alive, it keeps us alive. One must never let go off the child in us.
