Jogi’s Letter 52-Know this significant way to enrich your soul!

My dear friend,

Last couple of weeks, I was in Dubai. This was my first time in that distant land. I have always been fond of traveling and the best is the solo one if it’s not the company as you desire. Every travel teaches you something new, it definitely gives you a new way to see the world…a different perspective opens up to you.

“He who travels far will often see things Far removed from what he believed was Truth. When he talks about it in the fields at home, He is often accused of lying, For the obdurate people will not believe What they do not see and distinctly feel. Inexperience, I believe, Will give little credence to my song.”

I can feel the meaning of the above quote so well. I remember my initial travels when I traveled to the west and used to share the stories back home – it was tough for people to believe that a different world like that also exists on the planet.

Travel – Yes, that’s the word which we must explore and live to the core of our existence at some point of time in life. There is nothing which enriches the soul like travel. I often say this to younger generations – leave your home, go out and explore the world. And you’ll never be disappointed by the learnings.

During my stay in Dubai, I witnessed a city full of skyscrapers along with a beautiful mix of people from different countries and cultures. Such a cultural mix was also a wonder in its own way in Dubai. For me the best place was definitely the library in the city. Wherever I go, I try to look out for the library and visit. This library was no less than any wonder with 7 floors and with books in more than 13 languages.

Many times, we hold ourselves to explore the world. Most of the time, the thought exists only in the mind. But my friend, life will pass so quickly that you won’t even realize how much time has passed. So don’t let your boat stay on the seashore, it’s not made for that.

Know, learn and explore sailing and start sailing your boat. Have a mentor wherever required, take some risks worth taking and just start. I can promise you that you will never regret your new experiences.
