My dear friend,

10 years ago on this day, I landed in India by leaving my job abroad. I was at the peak of my career living a dream life. But I wanted to explore more, do more, know more about life. I never knew what was in store for me. But what followed was a roller coaster ride which was unimaginable in many aspects along with life long learning and lessons.

I thought to look back to jot down the learnings and lessons in the last 10 years. Here we go:

  • The first lesson is – Life is uncertain. Whatever we plan, whatever we think – we don’t know what will happen in the next moment. It doesn’t mean that we shouldn’t plan. We must have dreams and goals but eventually it’s a superpower which defines the best for our journey. Sometimes when things don’t go the way you want, have faith and continue the journey without losing the spirit.
  • Holistic life –  Life is not one dimensional. We must learn as soon as possible that a holistic life is the best way to live where we focus on all aspects of life. Money is definitely important for a good comfortable life. Whether it’s your health, wealth or career – give it equal importance else time will force you to take attention of that area.
  • People and relationships – Trust me that as you grow, you appreciate nothing more than having a good company. Your relationships with your family and friends is very important while connecting with more people of equal frequencies. Collaboration is the key, you can never win life’s game alone.
  • Serve – We all are here to make this world a better place. Nothing can give you more satisfaction than serving to make a difference. Being kind and compassionate is the best policy for life for everyone on planet earth. Be good to all and never hurt anyone. I know that it’s not easy in today’s era but let’s still be kind hearted beautiful humans.
  • Last but not the least – Follow your heart and dreams! Don’t blindly follow what society is conditioning you for. Somewhere down our heart, we know what we want to achieve and be in life. Many times we live in a dilemma to follow our heart or not. Your time is limited on planet earth and it will pass too soon, so use every second, every day wisely. I am a living testimony to the fact that following your heart and dreams will definitely take you to some place. But yes, the journey will not be easy so be ready when the universe tests you for your dreams. Dream the biggest possible and learn on the way. Remember that progress by being consistent is the key. Keep dreaming, persevere and continue the journey.

In short, the last 10 years of life showed me an unimaginable journey which I never thought of. It was definitely tough but I am grateful to the almighty for the experiences and learnings given to me.

In some way, I feel that these 10 years were the preparation for the rest of my life and I am looking forward to the further journey.

Today my wish for you – I just wish that you have the courage to follow your heart.

Your friend for life,

Jogi

I connect with your journey. Well expressed. I let a dream job to start my entrepreneurial journey following my heart. It took 11 years to find a footing in the world of business. Now it’s been 27 years since the day I left the job and the journey continues all with its twists and turns, and ups and downs. The beauty of following your heart is the learning and fulfillment, which I consider the foundation for creating value for others, money just follows.
