My dear friend,

Life is like a combination lock; your job is to find the right numbers, in the right order, so you can have anything you want. – Brian Tracy.

We always look forward to life, what more to achieve – grander dreams, bigger aspirations, and an endless cascade of desires. The list becomes endless. Universe like a watchful guardian, observes our every move – For life being a combination lock – we need to find the right numbers in the precise order.

In our relentless pursuits – by setting clear goals and working hard, we can achieve what we want. But in our quest for more, do we ever stop and appreciate what we already have? Are we thankful for things others may dream of having? greater heights, do we ever pause to express gratitude for the path we’ve trodden? Do we acknowledge the treasures we possess, the very ones someone else may have dreamt of?

“Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today, and creates a vision for tomorrow.” – Melody Beattie

It’s an unfortunate human tendency to focus on what we don’t have in life. But let me assure you, if these words find their way to your eyes, you’re already blessed beyond measure. And truly, if you have the comfort of home with good health, food and clothes while sharing your life with some amazing friends and family – you are basking in the benevolence of the divine.

My friend, allow me to share a practice I adopted 3 years ago – an exercise in gratitude. Each morning, I compile a list of ten blessings in my life, no matter how seemingly insignificant they may be. And trust me, it changed my life. My gratitude list even includes the smallest of things possible. Clean water to quench my thirst, great books to enrich my mind, and the presence of flourishing trees in my surroundings—these seemingly mundane elements are, in reality, profound blessings.

So an exercise for you my friend, list down 10 things in your life for which you are grateful. If daily gratitude exercise seems daunting, perhaps engage in this exercise weekly but start from today. Gradually, you’ll start noticing the blessings enveloping your life. Consider this not only an act of personal enrichment but also a message to the universe—a testament that you appreciate your current blessings while yearning for more. In response, the universe will undoubtedly bestow upon you an abundance beyond measure.

May your journey through life be filled with boundless blessings and unending abundance!

Your friend for life,
Jogi
